Bowling Green, Ohio will soon kick off a Revitalization Plan for the eastside neighborhoods surrounding Bowling Green State University and downtown Bowling Green. Camiros is thrilled to be leading this important planning effort and is eager to begin work with BG residents, city staff, officials, and other stakeholders to improve the community and help to strengthen town-gown relationships. Expect to hear more about this project in the coming months.

We’re happy to once again be working in the City of Shreveport, Louisiana, as part of a team looking to transform the communities of Allendale and Ledbetter Heights into areas of opportunity for current and future residents. Senior Associate Adam Rosa, has been involved with community engagement efforts, and had the opportunity to outline some of the goals of our work in a short interview. Check it out here.
The team, being led by the City of Shreveport, the Shreveport Housing Authority, and Pennrose Properties, is pursuing a Choice Neighborhoods Implementation Grant from the Department of Housing and Urban Development. We are proud to be continuing our work in the Shreveport/Caddo Parish community, where the Draft Unified Development Code, developed by Camiros with the Shreveport/Caddo Metropolitan Planning Commission, is currently in its public review process.
The City of Flint and the Flint Housing Commission have partnered to address the historic challenges facing the Atherton East public housing development and the surrounding community. The South Flint Community Plan will serve as a detailed extension of the recently established City Master Plan. The planning process is community-driven. The final plan will detail Housing, Neighborhood and People strategies, including significant details on improving safety and increasing educational opportunities for the neighborhood residents.
